Petzl hardware Petzl's range of hardware for vertical ascent and descent, is comprehensive. The range of pulleys is constantly developed to satisfy the needs of today's users. Whether lightweight, high speed, self-jamming, mountaineering, caving, big wall, single, double, hauling, tyrolean... all requirements are covered.

In the karabiner collection, the keylock system is the essential feature. This feature does away with the old hook and pin closure, creating a smoother interface between the gate and frame.

Petzl's line of ascenders is constantly growing to meet all new applications and user demands. As well as the classic left and right handed ascenders, Petzl offer a chest ascender, a foot ascender, one for rappel safety and the now legendary Tibloc, the small emergency ascender with a variety of applications.

Petzl descenders and belay devices are indispensible for controlling the running of the rope, whether descending, stopping a fall or protecting a move. Petzl has developed devices for use on single or double ropes. The Grigri, with its innovative autolocking cam, has become an essential belay tool for sport and gym climbers.
